Who Should Apply
The main qualification for the Novel Generator is not polished prose or even an in-depth understanding of what your book is about. What we’re really looking for is passion and commitment.
The ideal Novel Generator student feels an urgency in getting her novel written; she should be dedicated to completing the course, and her novel draft, in nine months. This course is geared for students at all levels, from first-time novelists to students who have completed the Novel Incubator or an MFA program but who wish to write a draft of a new novel in a structured, supportive environment.
The only requirement is having taken at least one Novel in Progress or Fiction I class at GrubStreet, or the equivalent.
