We are excited to offer an increasing number of in-person classes and events in our new center in Boston's Seaport District. We are located on the southeast side of 50 Liberty Drive (Suite 500), facing the Marina and the ICA. Follow the signs for GrubStreet!

Building Accessibility

Ensuring that our classes are accessible to all students is a top priority. GrubStreet's classrooms, restrooms and event space are wheelchair accessible, and we have an elevator. To arrange for any ADA-related concern, please contact GrubStreet's Operations Team at [email protected], or call 617.695.0075 between the hours of 10am ET and 6pm ET, Monday through Friday.

Public Transportation

By Train

GrubStreet’s Center for Creative Writing is a 15-minute walk from South Station and a 5-minute walk from the Silver Line Courthouse stop, which lets out on Seaport Boulevard.

By Bus

Bus line 7 stops at Summer Street and Melcher Street as well as Seaport Boulevard at World Trade Center opposite the Seaport Hotel. These stops are 11- and 9- minute walks from GrubStreet’s Center at 50 Liberty Drive (Suite 500), respectively.

Bus line 4 stops at Seaport Boulevard and Sleeper Street, which is a 6-minute walk from GrubStreet’s Center at 50 Liberty Drive (Suite 500).

By Boat

A ferry operated by the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority from North Station to Fan Pier, directly outside GrubStreet’s Center, is available on non-holiday weekdays. The ferry costs $5.00 for one-way and $10.00 for round trip. The ferry schedule, and more information on this service, is available on their website.

A water taxi service operated by Rowes Wharf Water Transportation is available year round, 7 days a week, from 8am ET to 8pm ET. The cost is $10 per person. Please request a dropoff at the Courthouse / Fan Pier location, which is directly outside GrubStreet’s Center. For service, call 617.406.8584.

By Bike

Blue Bikes are available for rental all over Boston. The closest Blue Bikes dock is a 2-minute walk from GrubStreet, located at the Marina side of Fan Pier Park.

If you are coming on your own bike, racks are available directly across from our main entrance, as well as in the Fan Pier garage below GrubStreet’s Center at 50 Liberty Drive (Suite 500).

Please do not bring your bike into the building.

Parking

Driving to the center? For evening or weekend classes, we recommend SP+ Parking at 45 Binford Street for the most affordable parking around. It's about a 10-minute walk to GrubStreet and offers a flat rate of:

  • $8 after 4pm Monday-Friday
  • $5 all day Saturday-Sunday
