New Space Partners

  • Porter Square Books — GrubStreet and Porter Square Books have been longtime friends, so we’re especially excited to have them joining us at our new center as our in-house bookseller. We have always admired Porter Square Books not only for their community-mindedness and their supremely knowledgeable booksellers, but for their commitment to equity for their management staff. They are true visionaries in the bookselling world and were recently named Bookstore of the Year 2020 by Publishers Weekly. Having partnered frequently over the years in various event series and our national literary conference, The Muse and the Marketplace, we feel immensely proud and lucky to have them with us on this new adventure.

Arts Org-In-Residence

  • MassPoetry  We’re thrilled to be welcoming Mass Poetry into the fold as an “arts organization-in-residence” at GrubStreet. From hosting the Massachusetts Poetry Festival to bringing poets into local schools, Mass Poetry brings expertise in creative placemaking and innovative programming that reaches nearly 5,000 Massachusetts students each year. Executive Director Daniel Johnson and his team will be working from our offices where they’ll be dreaming about bringing Origami poetry flowers to parks nearby, getting writers onto boats in the harbor, hosting slam events on our stage, and bringing new poets into our classrooms.
