What Authors Rock the Social Media World?
The Muse & the Marketplace conference is just around the corner, starting on April 29. If you haven’t signed up yet, now is the time to do so! I’ll be teaching a class on How to Use Social Media for Self-Promotion Without Being Annoying and I hope that I’ll see you there.
As part of my prep for that session, I do a lot of research on what authors do a great job in the world of social media, sharing interesting content, engaging with readers and all around are fascinating to follow. Who might they be? Well, I’ll give you a little sneak peek here.
There are a few authors that always pop up on these sorts of lists. Margaret Atwood, Neil Gaiman, Paulo Coelho all come to mind. But there are a lot of others that are worth checking out. Today I’m showcasing a few that really understand the power of social. Give these authors a like or a follow and pay attention to how they use their social channels. They’re not shoving their books down the throats of their readers and begging for attention. Instead, they are interesting, fascinating, curious and fun. By the very nature of how they are in social media, they endear readers to them which in turn builds their brand and builds word of mouth, which in turn helps them to sell books.
