Indigenous Peoples' Day 2023

The GrubStreet Center for Creative Writing will be closed on Monday, October 9, in honor of Indigenous Peoples' Day. We've compiled a list of some free arts & culture events happening in the Boston area.

• Newton MA. Ceremonial Celebration - A celebration & amplification of Indigenous Peoples & voices from 11-5pm ET in Albemarle Field. Newton, MA. 
• The Peabody Essex Museum -  A day of programming to respectfully acknowledge and celebrate Indigenous communities.
• The ICA Boston - Free admission to the museum. 
• The Boston Museum of Fine Arts - Open House - free admission to the museum and special programming.
• The Isabel Stewart Gardener - Braiding Our Voices, a day of art-making, story-telling, performance and free admission to the museum.
