Class Description

Welcome to the Reader's Room, where we approach beloved books as works of art, combining the camaraderie of a book club with the rigor of a literature seminar. The Reader's Room welcomes anyone who loves books, whether or not they identify as a writer. Together, we'll discuss each book through the lenses of content, context, and craft. All that's required between sessions is to read.
Reading List: Dolly All the Time by Annabel Monaghan; A Gentleman's Gentleman by TJ Alexander; and Can't Get Enough by Kennedy Ryan
There's nothing quite like falling head over heels into a great love story–and it's even better when you have people to gush about it with. We'll read three unforgettable novels filled with slow burns, second chances, unforgettable chemistry, and all the swoony moments we love.
We'll be talking about our favorite scenes and tropes, but we'll also explore two themes that lie at the heart of every memorable romance: vulnerability and self-discovery. What does it really mean to risk your heart? How do love and loss transform us? And what makes a happily-ever-after feel truly earned?
Join us for dynamic conversations about love and different approaches to capturing it on the page.

Zoom Accessibility:
You can enable closed captioning at any time during the meeting by clicking the CC button at the bottom of the screen. If you'd like to access the transcript after class, please make sure to let your instructor ahead of time that you'd like a copy.
