Scholarship Highlight

Your invaluable support from our community enables us to provide fully-funded, enriching creative writing programming to youth in Greater Boston. In 2023, 85% of teens participated in free programs or through scholarships. GrubStreet’s Young Adult Writers Program offers programming crafted for youth facing economic challenges, people of color, teens without housing, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and immigrants/new Americans, fostering a diverse and vibrant community. Through the lens of creative writing, these programs create a space for teens ages 13-18 to develop leadership skills, give and receive feedback, and communicate and advocate for themselves. GrubStreet’s Young Adult Writers Program reached 1,426 teens over the past year with programming designed to nurture creativity, care for their health and wellness, and create a foundation for lifelong success. Thank you for your generous support in making sure that all interested teens have access to GrubStreet’s programs!
