Camp Camp: Summer LGBTQ+ Writing Group

No Longer Enrolling

  • $170.00 Non-Member
  • $150.00 Member

Class Description

This is a facilitated writing group designed for accountability and community building. An instructor will be present to facilitate and offer general guidance, but this is not a writing class, and it won’t involve craft lessons or in-depth feedback on your writing. Please check out our hundreds of writing class offerings for those features! These groups are a great option for anyone who’s at work on a project and looking to set aside some time each week to make progress on their writing and connect with others.
Need some structure to help you meet your summer writing goals? Want to be in community with fellow LGBTQ+ writers? Camp Camp is a supportive, unapologetically queer space to jump back, or dive deeper, into your writing practice—come on in, the water's fine! Together, we'll dedicate 90 minutes a week for six weeks to writing in a chill and welcoming environment. We'll ask questions, seek advice, and share snippets of our work, all while the instructor curates a focus-friendly playlist. There is no required reading or pre-work—just show up!—and we'll begin sessions with a check-in and end with a check-out. The instructor will be available throughout each session for one-on-one conversations about anything writing related.

*This group is only available to LGBTQ+ writers.

Note: This class does not meet on June 22nd.
