Class Description
This class has a very clear mission: devote one hour to trying your hand at creating writing. Through a series of fun, directed writing exercises, we will explore the terrain of fiction and nonfiction: mining for material, constructing characters and settings, shaping vivid dialogue, understanding point of view, and finding your voice. A supportive and generative experience for both new and practicing writers. No need to sign up -- just show up beforehand and get ready to write!
This event is part of Boston Literary Cultural District Launch Week, brought to you by GrubStreet in conjunction with ArtWeek Boston.
Thanks to the excellent literary citizenship of our donors, scholarships are available for all GrubStreet classes. To apply, click the gray "APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP" button. In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must complete your application at least one week before the start date of a class. Please await our scholarship committee's decision before registering for the class. We cannot hold spots in classes, so the sooner you apply, the better. Scholarships cannot be applied retroactively.
