About Angela
Angela Siew is a multilingual poet with a BA from Brown University and an MFA from Emerson College. She was most recently a Peter Taylor Fellow for the 2023 Kenyon Review Writers Workshop and an Administrative Staff Scholar for the 2023- 2025 Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. She has also received support from the City of Boston and is a 2025 Connecticut Artist Fellow. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in Salamander, Meridian, and LEON Literary Review, among others. A chapbook, Coming Home, is available from Cut Bank (University of Montana). A former private tutor and English language teacher, she has also taught overseas in Chile and Italy.Information on Consulting:
I am interested in working with writers at all stages on their poetry and am open to all styles. A list of services I provide includes:
-Developmental editing (from individual poems to manuscript review)
-Guidance in submitting to literary magazines
-Application assistance (MFAs, awards, fellowships, and retreats)
-Personal writing “coaching”
I am happy to work with you asynchronously via email and shared documents, and/or video/audio calls. I can provide line notes/edits, a letter of overall impressions or simply general feedback.
I am a poet with over five years experience as a poetry instructor or private tutor. Past students have had success publishing in literary journals and have described my approach as warm, honest, and supportive. My goal is to help you achieve your writing, publication or career goals as best as I can.
