Class Description
In this six-week online course we will explore the dynamics of both storytelling and screenwriting. You will learn the conventions of screenwriting -- formatting, structure, dialogue, and conflict -- as well as how to craft a compelling narrative. We’ll support and reinforce those crucial screenwriting concepts with weekly exercises, and you’ll put these skills to use by kicking off a draft of your own original feature film or television series. In the online forum we’ll workshop each student’s script, and you’ll also receive extensive instructor feedback on story construction and the screenplay format. Expect to be put to work and learn a ton!
