Class Description
Have you ever wished for a supportive place to help you grow as a writer? GrubStreet, the largest literary arts center in the U.S., has been supporting Boston writers for over 20 years. Write Down the Street is an extension of GrubStreet in your own neighborhood. Come unwind after work with a snack and a cold drink, connect with other writers, and get insights from a friendly professional writer on submitting work for publication, local classes and opportunities, the Boston Writers of Color group, and applying to MFA programs and residencies. Bring your questions and 2-5 page sample of your work.
Families welcome. Coffee and snacks provided. Teens are welcome to attend with an older relative. We will provide simple activities to keep young children occupied.
This class takes place at the Boston Public Library's East Boston branch, 365 Bremen St, Boston, MA 02128. If you have any difficulty signing up online, please call 617-695-0075.
Thanks to the excellent literary citizenship of our donors, scholarships are available for all GrubStreet classes. To apply, click the gray "APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP" button. In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must complete your application at least one week before the start date of a class. Please await our scholarship committee's decision before registering for the class. We cannot hold spots in classes, so the sooner you apply, the better. Scholarships cannot be applied retroactively.
