About Jennifer

Jennifer Haigh is the author of eight bestselling, critically-acclaimed works of fiction. Her first novel, Mrs. Kimble, won the PEN/Hemingway Award for debut fiction. Mercy Street–an intimate look at a Boston clinic on the front lines of the abortion wars–was named a Best Book of 2022 by The New Yorker and won the Mark Twain American Voice in Literature Award. Her work has been recognized by the Guggenheim Foundation, the James S. Michener Foundation and the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and has been published in eighteen languages. A graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, she lives and writes in Boston. Her new novel, Rabbit Moon, was published in April 2025.
