About Lisa
Lisa Pegram, MFA is a writer, acquisitions editor, book publicist and literary events producer. Winner of the DC Mayor’s Arts Award, she has over 20 years of experience in high-level literary program design for such organizations as the Smithsonian Institute, Corcoran Gallery of Art and National Geographic. She served as DC WritersCorps program director for a decade and completed an Executive Certification in Arts & Culture Strategies from UPenn. As a sought-after developmental editor and coach/mentor for writers, she has guided acclaimed books to completion in multiple genres, including: memoir (specialty genre), historical fiction, food & travel, autobiographical fiction, magical realism, science fiction, suspense/thriller, poetry and creative nonfiction.
