About Erin
As Senior Director of Education, Erin provides strategic and artistic leadership across GrubStreet’s educational programs and events. She oversees the organization’s core curriculum, leads the Education team, and serves as a member of GrubStreet’s Senior Leadership Team. Erin also runs GrubStreet’s Contemporary Craft Series and takes great joy in learning from her favorite writers—and hopes you will too.
Erin began her career in literary and educational nonprofits in the Bay Area, at McSweeney’s, 826 Valencia, and Reading Partners, and has worked at GrubStreet since 2017. She teaches essay classes and is a student of both fiction and nonfiction at GrubStreet. Erin studied classical literature as an undergraduate at St. John’s College NM and Mills College, and holds an Ed.M. in Learning and Teaching from Harvard, where she focused on literature, philosophy, and curriculum design. She lives in Providence, RI, with her husband and two young children.
