Raised in rural Southern Appalachia, Lily’s work draws inspiration from the rich cultural traditions of the region. Echoing the meandering nature of oral storytelling, her writing challenges conventional narrative framework with nonlinear structures that emphasize the fluidity of time, memory, and the human condition. Lily uses her work to explore the multifaceted notion of place and document the Truth, whatever it may be. Lily is a regular health and lifestyle feature contributor at Savannah Magazine. She has been published in several newspapers, magazines, and literary journals.
