About Sarah

Sarah Chaves is a Portuguese-American author and high school educator whose publications include notary literary magazines and anthologies. Her most recent work has appeared in The New York Times, Teen Vogue, Glamour, The Washington Post, and The Lily. Sarah was a 2015-2016 Fulbright Scholar in Portugal and the Luso-American scholar at DISQUIET 2012. She holds a BA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College and an MA in English from the University of Massachusetts: Boston. She is a GrubStreet Memoir Incubator alum whose memoir was one of the five finalists in the 2019 Restless Books New Immigrant Writing Prize.
