Chapbook Intensive: Conceiving, Writing, and Developing Your Manuscript
365.00
In this workshop, each participant will craft their own chapbook, writing and editing poems with a unifying principle, theme, question, or experience. For this reason, participants will be welcome to bring previous work to the workshop space, though there will be plenty of generative work done. We will also take time to focus on craftsmanship through the successive stages of a poem's creation, from conception to final draft. There will also be time to organize sequences of poems in order to make a powerful statement. Through readings and discussions of other successful chapbooks, students will learn about the craft in order to apply their insights into their own creations. By the end of this 6-week intensive, participants will be well on their way to composing a poetry chapbook of up to 35 pages.
Class Format
This class will take place using Zoom videoconferencing. About 15 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin, you'll receive an email from your instructor with a link to join the class meeting!
