Maggie Cooper is an agent with Aevitas Creative Management, representing adult fiction and select nonfiction projects with an emphasis on queer and trans stories and books that make our world kinder, weirder, more joyful, or all of the above. Maggie is also a fiction writer. Her prose chapbook, The Theme Park of Women’s Bodies, was published by Bull City Press in September 2024, and her work has appeared in The Rumpus, Ninth Letter, and elsewhere. She holds a degree in English from Yale University, attended the Clarion Writers Workshop, and earned her MFA in fiction from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she served as an editor for The Greensboro Review.

Maggie Cooper's Availability During Manuscript Mart Week:

  • Tuesday, May 13: 10:00–1:00 & 1:00–4:00
  • Wednesday, May 14: 10:00–1:00 & 1:00–4:00 & 4:00–7:00
  • Thursday, May 15: 10:00–1:00 & 1:00–4:00

Zoom Meetings with Maggie will be scheduled within these time periods (all EDT), but are subject to change. If Maggie must make a change to this schedule, we will arrange a mutually agreeable Zoom time outside of Manuscript Mart Week.

What I'm Looking For

Maggie is actively seeking imaginative, genre-bending literary and speculative fiction; capacious historical novels; beautifully told queer stories; and quirky, cozy, and/or feminist novels with happy endings.
