Tyler joined Sterling Lord Literistic in 2023, where he represents forthcoming books by Maggie Menditto (Norton, 2027), Kira Chung Judish (Harper, 2027), and Andrew Patrick Higgins (Minotaur, 2028). He's actively building his own list of distinctive, voice-driven writers, while working closely alongside authors including Gabrielle Zevin, Patrick deWitt, Jason Rekulak, and Matthew Quick.
Tyler is drawn to fiction that ruptures routine—novels that take the textures of everyday life and turn them electric. He gravitates toward a strong sense of place, charged family dynamics, and a current of restless desire, especially when handled with playfulness or formal invention: think Ali Smith, Rachel Kushner, Hisham Matar, Gayl Jones, Louise Erdrich, and Michael Ondaatje. He's also branching into crime and thriller, and loves to get swept up in the latest book club pick—as long as the sentences are doing as much work as the plot.
