What I'm Looking For
I’m most drawn to literary and upmarket fiction with dark and offbeat humor, gripping narratives, strong commercial hooks, family dynamics, mother-daughter stories, and nuanced female perspectives. I especially love sweeping family dramas, strange and unusual women in strange and unusual circumstances, and books with strong voices. I’m also looking for upmarket thrillers with unique twists (I love a good surprise!), and select rom-coms with distinctive set-ups. I grew up near Salem, MA and have a soft spot for elevated narratives with speculative elements. Stories that aren’t afraid to challenge readers, that highlight characters with messy backstories and hidden depths are always welcome. My taste could also be described as books that would live comfortably on the shelves at McNally Jackson. I'd love the next MARGO'S GOT MONEY TROUBLES, THE WEDDING PEOPLE, or THE GOD OF THE WOODS.
