Leland Cheuk is the founder of the indie press 7.13 Books, lives in Los Angeles, and is an award-winning author of three books of fiction, most recently the novel NO GOOD VERY BAD ASIAN. His next novel, SOULWAKING, is forthcoming in 2027 from Harvard Square Editions. Cheuk’s work has appeared in publications such as The Washington Post, Boston Globe, San Francisco Chronicle, NPR, and Salon, among other outlets.
