Event Description

About this event:

This fall, we’re opening our doors for a few informal community tours and open houses at GrubStreet’s new Center for Creative Writing in the Seaport. So whether you’ve been waiting to see the space since we first announced plans to build it in 2018 or are just now joining the bandwagon and want to learn more about Boston’s thriving community of writers and readers, we’re excited to welcome and introduce you (and any friends you want to bring along!) to our new digs.

GrubStreet staff will be on hand to answer any questions you have and show off our brand new space, including our expanded classrooms for teens and adults, the bookstore run by our friends at Porter Square Books (complete with rotating bookshelves), our community lounge, Boston’s only stage for the literary arts, our podcast studio, and more.

This event is free and includes complimentary drinks and snacks. Plus, we’ll have a short program towards the end that will cover what we’ve got planned this fall and into the future at our new center. Bring your mask, join the fun!

Can’t wait till the open house? Porter Square Books has officially opened their new branch on the first floor of our building. Come stop by any day of the week from 10am - 6pm.

GrubStreet Vaccine Protocol

We are so excited to begin welcoming students into our new home at 50 Liberty Dr. in Boston this Fall! In our new building, proof of vaccination against COVID-19 will be required for everyone visiting the second floor, where all classes will be held. This means that all students must be vaccinated against COVID-19 to take classes with us in-person. Please submit your proof of vaccination here at least 48 hours before your class begins. If you are not able to fill out our vaccination form 48 hours before your class begins, please bring your vaccine card (or a photo of it) with you to the building. Please note that if you arrive for class and you have not filled out the form and do not have proof of vaccination with you, you will not be allowed to participate in the class. And don’t forget your mask! In accordance with the City of Boston, masks will be required at all times while inside the building.
