Event Description
We’re excited to be hosting an in-person meet-up with Melissa Rivero, award-winning author of the critically acclaimed Flores and Miss Paula, on Thursday, May 29th, 5:00-6:00 PM at GrubStreet’s Seaport location.
Melissa will be available in our community lounge upstairs to talk about her writing and publishing journey, as well as answer questions from attendees about building a writing career, her own books, and her experiences as a BIPOC writer.
This author meet-up will be immediately followed by our Literary Ambassador stage event with Kali Fajardo-Anstine, which Melissa is moderating.
NOTE: The first 20 BWOC members to attend the author meet-up will receive a free copy of Melissa’s latest novel!

This class will take place in-person at our Center for Creative Writing in Boston's Seaport neighborhood.
