Event Description
There are not many rooms where bi+ BIPOC people get to take the mic without being sidelined or tokenized. But this is one of them.
Bi the Mic is an open mic night centering bi+ BIPOC—Black, Indigenous, and people of color—storytellers, musicians, poets, comedians, and creatives of all kinds. Whether your work is tender, angry, funny, experimental, political, romantic, or somewhere in between, this space is for you. First time performer? Great! Stage veteran? Welcome back!
Performances are reserved for bi+ BIPOC artists.
Spots to perform are limited. If you are a bi+ BIPOC artist, we strongly encourage you to sign up in advance to secure a slot. (Walk-ins may be possible if space allows.)

Why This Space Exists:
Bi+ spaces are already rare. BIPOC-centered bi+ spaces are rarer. Bi the Mic exists to intentionally center those whose voices are too often spoken over, within queer communities and beyond. The audience’s role is to listen, celebrate, and hold the room with care.
About the Bisexual Resource Center:

The Bisexual Resource Center works to connect the bi+ community and help its members thrive through resources, support, and celebration. We envision an empowered, visible, and inclusive global community for bi+ people. Learn more at https://biresource.org/.
