Write-A-Thon Update 6/10

Please join us, Thursday, June 13th, to write in community at our next community writing session at GrubStreet’s Center for Creative Writing in Boston from 5:30-7:30 PM. Register by clicking here! Snacks will be provided.

Fundraising Update

Thanks to wonderful supporters like you, GrubStreet has increased awarded scholarship funds by 73% from 2019 to 2024. But as our community continues to grow, so does our need to increase accessibility throughout our offerings. Our generous Board Chair just pledged to match all donations dollar-for-dollar up to $7,000, but only until June 21st.

Double your impact and Make a Gift today!

Scholarship Update

Did you know that in 2023, Grubstreet welcomed over 5,000 students of all ages and backgrounds into fully-funded workshops, seminars, “date” your writing nights, and professional networking mixers? And it’s all thanks to our wonderful supporters. Giving at GrubStreet helps make space for writers in our community to develop and share transformative narratives. And in 2023, our GrubStreet community produced 446 publications, including 74 new books. We are so grateful for the Grubbies who generously support fellow writers - and look forward to even more community successes in 2024.

Event Update!

Please join us for our Write-A-Thon Bash on Friday, June 21st from 6:30-8:00 PM. Celebrate your commitment to writing in community, enjoy a reception with delicious bites, music from Boston-based acclaimed DJ Jo Saint-Surin, and take your practice to the next level through a writing panel on Sustaining a Joyful Writing Practice with esteemed Grubbie instructors Theresa Okokon and Elizabeth Santiago. Have questions for our panelists? Share these here. We look forward to seeing you at the Write-A-Thon Bash!

Happy writing!
