Dept. of Congrats Spotlight - Memoir and Essay Incubator Alum: Linda "Button" Button

GrubStreet is thrilled to congratulate Linda "Button" Button, who's essay “The Wada Test” received the Annie Dillard Prize for Nonfiction in the Bellingham Review, judged by Lilly Dancyger.
We asked Button how her time at GrubStreet and in the Memoir Incubator and Essay Incubator influenced her accomplishment:
"The Memoir Incubator inspired me to write a full-length book draft. The Essay Incubator gave me the tools to hone my meaning and see how my story resonated with reading audiences. The impact of both classes has been tremendous—in two years I've added over ten publications and a few awards to my bio. More than that, I learned how to craft and deepen my story."
Are you planning to apply to the 2025–2026 Essay Incubator? The deadline is July 16th!
