GrubStreet is thrilled to congratulate Elly Berke! Elly's children's book Listen, Wonder, Ask is now available. The story follows the curiosity of a young girl as she learns about the languages and customs of her neighbors from Bangladesh, Iraq, Somalia, and China. Her success would not have been possible without the expert coaching, guidance, and editing of her coaches Jenn De Leon and Joy Baglio.

We asked Elly how her time at GrubStreet influenced her accomplishment:

"GrubStreet is the place I started when I had a book idea and needed support around the craft of writing as well as the business of getting a book published. The expert guidance I received from Joy Baglio and Jennifer DeLeon is what gave me the know-how and confidence to pursue publishers through query letters. They also helped me incorporate feedback from editors, leading to a more engaging and surprising resolution to the plot of my book!"
