Kathleen Reidy's debut novel, Engineering a Love Story, will be published by Sibylline Press on October 6, 2026. It is available for pre-order at Bookshop.org. Instructor and consultant Cara Benson has a new personal essay in the Spring Issue of Orion. Her piece, "Talking About the Weather," humorously examines how her social interactions have changed due to the climate crisis. M.E. Liu’s short story “The Dry Season” has been accepted for publication in The Missouri Review and will appear in the Summer 2026 issue. Shana Graham's essay "Wanting" was published in Fugue. This essay grew out of an "Advanced Essay Workshop" at GrubStreet taught by Theresa Okokon.

Essay Incubator graduate Brandy E. Wyant's essay "How to Put Away Laundry with OCD" was published at JMWW. BWOC member and instructor Lisa Braxton's essay "Our Corner of Nature" was published in the Story Circle Network anthology Real Women Write: In the Garden. Ayoung Kim's poems, "In My House We Pray" and "Nighttime Performer," were published in the Writing Disorder. Jenna Crowder's short story "Lobsters" was published by Pithead Chapel. Betül Başaran will be a writing fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts between April 6-20, 2026. During this residency, she is working on a book of creative nonfiction based on her research about Princess Niloufer (1916-1989). She is currently in Lisa Pegram's “Creative Nonfiction Workshop” at GrubStreet.

BWOC member and Memoir Incubator graduate Lorena Hernández Leonard signed a book deal for her memoir, Salsipuedes: Leave If You Can, with Galiot Press. She is grateful to her Incubator and Generator friends for their support and inspiration, to Alysia Abbott for her mentoring, to Anjali Mitter Duva and Henriette Lazaridis for believing in this story, and to her family for cheering her on. Adena Cohen-Bearak’s essay “How My Breasts Let Me Down” appears in HerStry. Adena has taken many classes at GrubStreet, including the “Writing to Heal" Immersive program, and is currently an MFA student at the Solstice MFA Program at Lasell University. She wants to thank Jen Murvin for the inspiration, Ethan Gilsdorf for his mentorship, and her fellow Creative Nonfiction writers at the Solstice program for their help workshopping this piece. Julius Cavira’s first op-ed appeared in the Providence Eye News, "An Artist’s Pitch to the Star of “Secret Mall Apartment”: Let’s Turn Providence Place into a Creative Commune." 

Olivia London’s essay “Outgoing Tides,” about grief in the wake of her father's sudden death, was published in The Good Life Review. She would like to thank Ethan Gilsdorf and her classmates in “Developing Your Personal Essay.” This is Olivia's first publication. Instructor Martine Bellen’s poem "The Last Cafe" appears in the Spring 2026 print issue of the literary journal Allium. Emerging Writer Fellow ’23 Malik Thompson had four of their poems published in The Georgia Review’s Spring 2026 issue: “The Angel to Jacob,” “Touch Cinema,” “Love Poem: Grimoire,” and “Adam, Alone.” The latter two poems can be found on their Instagram page.

Karen Wilfrid's essay "As a Busy Teacher, I Actually Like Meetings. Here’s Why" was published in Teach Magazine. She would like to thank Grace Talusan and fellow Novel Incubee, Jen Evans. Incubator graduate Button's essay "My Taekwondo Community is like Family" was published by WBUR's Cognoscenti. She is grateful for her other family, the GrubStreet community. Embark Literary (April 2026 issue) has published the opening to Elizabeth Brodbine Ghoniem’s novel, The Prophesies.

Essay Incubator graduate Mathilde Piton's essay "Not Only a Lice Story" was published at Mutha Magazine. She thanks her Friday morning writing group for their support and Randi Stern for her thoughtful comments. BWOC member Rosann Tung thanks writing coaches Ethan Gilsdorf, Xujun Eberlein, and the Manuscript Mart 2025 participating editors Mimi Wong and Allison Wright for helpful feedback on "My Biggest Win-Win Reexamined," published in the Spring issue of Solstice. Instructor David Farrow's speculative flash piece "The Last Eleven Seconds" was published in the April 2026 issue of Flash Fiction Online. Ayoung Kim's humor story "How a Summer Girls’ Trip Showed Me True Friends Stick Together” was published by Little Old Lady Comedy. Additionally, her flash nonfiction essay "Speaking in Tongues" was published in The Good Life Review. "Everything Must Go," a micro fiction piece by Mira Wilczek (writing as Mercer Eddy), was published in Night Shades. She wrote it while powering through her novel draft for Camille Cabrera's Novel Generator class.

BWOC member Juanita Cox's poem “Hand in Hand” will be on display at Boston City Hall starting April 24th for the highly curated 2026 Mayor's Poetry Program. The poem started from a writing exercise Rishona Michael shared in the recent GrubStreet class “Discovering Poetic Voice.” Maria Millefoglie’s family memoir Daughters of Stone and Tide: Loss and Resilience in a Fisherman’s Family is available for preorder and will be widely available from UMass Press in September 2026. She’s taken many classes at GrubStreet and credits the 2024 course “How to Craft a Winning Non-Fiction Book Proposal” with giving her the tools to draft a proposal, research comps, build a strategic marketing plan, and explore publishing options.

Essay Incubator graduate Akemi Ueda’s essay "The Language We Share" was published in Peatsmoke Journal. She wrote the first version of this essay in a “6 Weeks, 6 Essays” class with Nora Caplan-Bricker and revised it in the Essay Incubator with Ethan Gilsdorf. Fabienne François Keck’s short story “The Quiet Ones‚” conceived and completed in her 2024-2025 fellowship year, appears in issue 4.1 of The Cleveland Review of Books. She would like to thank Eson Kim and GrubStreet for allowing her the spaciousness of time and financial support to bring this piece to fruition. Wendy Richmond is a long-time contributor to Communication Arts Magazine and her book, You're Already Working, about creative practice was recently published. Marcia Yudkin’s short story "Outliers" was published in Turn and Work.

Simon (C.M.) Green's short story "Debts" was recently published in the Southeast Review. He is grateful to AJ Rodriguez and the Spring 2024 Short Fiction workshop where this story was workshopped. Instructor Joy Deva Baglio's short story "Frog Heart,” a modern fairy tale, originally published in Ploughshares in 2023, was just reprinted as a stand-alone chapbook by Ike: A Publishing Project, with original paper cut art cover by artist Darin Mount. Ellen Davis Sullivan’s ten-minute play “Girl Knocking” will be produced in Boston Theater Marathon XXVIII, which is a regional event where 50 ten-minute plays are in production at 50 different theater companies. Amy Asherah’s poem "Daughter" is in the current issue of Mom Egg Review.
