Audio Flash Fiction: Allison Williams' "Snake"

Allison Williams is a Grubbie with a peripatetic existence. An itinerant actor, she was in Boston long enough to take a class at Grub, but submitted her work to The Drum Literary Magazine while she was traveling across Eastern Europe, performing at various venues. When The Drum accepted the piece, our challenge became how to obtain the audio of Allison reading the story aloud. Allison ended up recording her flash fiction "Snake" in a disused ballet studio in the University of Pristina, in Kosovo. At The Drum, it's one of our favorite stories of how audio can cross boundaries.
