Class Description

Love to write but don't have anywhere to get feedback on your work? Want to meet fellow writers and work under the guidance of published authors? GrubStreet is here to help!

On Thursday, May 20th, we will be hosting a Remote Open House to talk about upcoming Summer 2021 classes!

In the webinar-style session, several of our staff members will give you an overview of GrubStreet and who we are, and we'll dive into the new and recurring classes that we're offering next term. We'll also talk about remote and online learning, as well as our plans to build a new writing center! At the end, there will be some time set aside for a Q+A of follow-up questions.

We'll answer any questions that we feel would apply to lots of attendees in the session, and for any questions that are specific to you and your writing, we'll send a personalized email back to you! We welcome all questions about all things GrubStreet.

Please make sure to pre-register, so we can email you the link to join the meeting! We'll also send all attendees a code to recieve 10% off any Summer 2021 class.

For a glimpse at how remote learning works, look no further than the deep Zoom discussion of writing and literature below:

If you have questions about remote learning, please feel free to reach out to [email protected] for more information.

Scholarships Format/Location

Thanks to the excellent literary citizenship of our donors, scholarships are available for all GrubStreet classes. To apply, click the gray "APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP" button. In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must complete your application at least one week before the start date of a class. Please await our scholarship committee's decision before registering for the class. We cannot hold spots in classes, so the sooner you apply, the better. Scholarships cannot be applied retroactively.

For more detailed information about GrubStreet scholarships, including how to contribute to scholarship funds for other students, click here.

This class will take place using Zoom videoconferencing. Please visit the Resources tab to access the video-conference link.

We ask that instructors enable closed captioning and send a transcript of the session after class. You can also enable closed captioning at any time during the meeting. If your instructor forgets to send the transcript, just send ’em an email!
