Class Description
Are you ready to pitch your work at this year’s Manuscript Mart? Excited to meet with a literary agent one-on-one? Nervous about the process? Or maybe you’re unsure of whether or not the Manuscript Mart is right for you? Join us for a free, 90-minute seminar with literary agent Amaryah Orenstein, who will walk you through what to expect from your session, how to make the most of your twenty minutes with an agent or editor, and how to follow up after it’s over. Topics will include polishing your query letter, submitting the best sample package, and prepping for a productive Manuscript Mart conversation! This seminar will end with a Q&A portion, during which Amaryah will answer participants questions that have been submitted in advance.

Zoom Participation:
In our experience, the intimate nature of a writing workshop benefits from on-camera participation. Students are of course welcome to turn their camera off whenever they need to, but it is a community norm for cameras to be on most of the time. You can learn more about using Zoom here.
Zoom Accessibility:
You can enable closed captioning at any time during the meeting by clicking the CC button at the bottom of the screen. If you'd like to access the transcript after class, please make sure to let your instructor ahead of time that you'd like a copy.
