Class Description

Grub instructor Celeste Ng’s new novel, Everything I Never Told You, will not be officially released until June 26th, but we’re partnering with Penguin Books to bring members an advanced preview book club. You can pick up advanced copies of Everything I Never Told You at GrubStreet Headquarters and then join our book club for a discussion on June 19th.

For the first hour of the book club, a GrubStreet instructor will lead a discussion on Everything I Never Told You and then author Celeste Ng will join the group for an informal Q&A about her novel.

You must be a GrubStreet member to attend. Books are available for pickup at during office hours (10am - 6pm, Monday - Friday). We have a limited supply of books, and ask that you only take a novel if you can committee to joining the book club on 6/19. Email [email protected] with any questions.

Zoom Participation:

In our experience, the intimate nature of a writing workshop benefits from on-camera participation. Students are of course welcome to turn their camera off whenever they need to, but it is a community norm for cameras to be on most of the time. You can learn more about using Zoom here.

Zoom Accessibility:

You can enable closed captioning at any time during the meeting by clicking the CC button at the bottom of the screen. If you'd like to access the transcript after class, please make sure to let your instructor ahead of time that you'd like a copy.
