Class Description

Do your friends and family constantly tell you that you should write down your stories? Maybe you have a memoir you’d like to write but you can’t seem to figure out how to start. Perhaps you don’t consider yourself to be a writer, but you do like to write, you enjoy journaling or writing for your day-job. If you are ready to make the leap from idea to project, then this class is for you!

By the end of this one-day class you will be able to have a full picture of what you want to write and a plan in place to make sure that you stick to your project. We will work through memory exercises and learn how to craft what you hold inside your brain out on the the page. We will read examples of prose that will help us learn how other authors handle personal narrative, and we will do a workshop where we learn from each other.

We will work to build a safe space for all of us to share openly and get the most out of this writing experience. Clear your day, bring paper or your laptop and get ready to transform your ideas into a writing project.
