Class Description

"Write from your organs. Write from your eyes, your heart, your liver, your ass, write from your brain last of all," says Jose Rivera.

Step into the practice of embodied writing led by a seasoned playwright and trained actor. This seminar teaches you how to invite your body, emotions, and intuition into every phase of your writing practice. Through a blend of equipping discussions, craft-based exercises, and generative writing prompts, you'll learn to harness the powers beyond your logical brain during each phase of the writing process from first drafts to fine tuned revisions. Whether you're a seasoned writer looking to break through creative blocks or a beginner eager to explore new avenues of expression, this multi-genre class will empower you to tap into all of the insightful forces within you.
