About Jeffrey
Jeffrey Robinson (he/him) serves as the Managing Director at GrubStreet. A seasoned business and operations leader, Jeff oversees GrubStreet’s financial, operational, people and culture, business development, and administrative functions. He is excited to shepherd the organization’s strategic, financial, and growth planning and execution, ensuring GrubStreet thrives and operates sustainably, efficiently, and equitably. As a writer of literary fiction and screenwriting, as well as a longstanding GrubStreet student himself, Jeff brings zest and zeal for the arts into our community of writers and storytellers. He earned his BA in History and Political Science from Marywood University; his MA in History from UMass; and, is a graduate of the television screenwriting program at UCLA. Before coming to GrubStreet, he spent over a decade running a global legal department at a management consulting firm, where he also led the firm’s LGBTQ+ employee resource group. Earlier, Jeff taught undergraduate history courses at UMass, and completed an AmeriCorps service year, serving in the Center for Art and Community Partnerships at MassArt. When not at work, you can find Jeff perusing independent bookstores with his husband and black lab, competing at Moth StorySlams, performing his poetry at local open mics, and working on his novel.
