About Mark Kyungsoo

Mark Kyungsoo Bias a recipient of the 2022 Joseph Langland Prize from the Academy of American Poets and the 2020 William Matthews Poetry Prize from the Asheville Poetry Review. A semi-finalist for the 92Y Discovery Prize, his work has been published or is forthcoming in AGNI, New England Review, Gulf Coast, the Adroit Journal, Best New Poets, Narrative, The Offing, The Common, Los Angeles Review, and PANK, among others. A 2021 Tin House Scholar, he has been offered support from Bread Loaf and Kundiman, and has been featured in Literary Hub, Poetry Daily, Winning Writers, and the Saejowi Initiative for National Integration, which seeks to provide aid to North Korean refugees. He holds an MFA and Film Certificate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and currently teaches creative writing in Korea.
