Event Description
Thinking of applying to the Novel Generator? GrubStreet will host an online Q&A session with instructor Elizabeth Santiago on Friday, September 27th from 6:00-7:00pm. Liz will answer any questions you have about the Novel Generator, including the workload, the application process, what the program does and doesn’t entail, the schedule, the philosophy behind our approach, and anything else you have on your mind! Please note that the upcoming round of the Novel Generator, which begins in January 2025, will take place in person at GrubStreet's Center for Creative Writing at Boston's Seaport. (If you would like a Zoom/remote version of this program, applications for that session open again in early June 2025.)

Zoom Participation:
In our experience, the intimate nature of a writing workshop benefits from on-camera participation. Students are of course welcome to turn their camera off whenever they need to, but it is a community norm for cameras to be on most of the time. You can learn more about using Zoom here.
Zoom Accessibility:
You can enable closed captioning at any time during the meeting by clicking the CC button at the bottom of the screen. If you'd like to access the transcript after class, please make sure to let your instructor ahead of time that you'd like a copy.
