Event Description
Please note: This session is open to GrubStreet instructors only. This session will be recorded.
For instructors who were unable to attend our first Cultural Belonging and (Re)Connection series events, this session provides an opportunity to hear a recap of the discussion, with a specific focus on how the experiences shared by our community can help to inform instructor work.
Our Cultural Belonging series seeks to bring our community together to engage in intentional discussions about what belonging looks like for us as individuals, as artists, and as members of the GrubStreet community. We held two sessions in November 2022, with over 100 students, instructors, staff and board members coming together to share their experiences at GrubStreet. These sessions are part of our long term commitment to continue working together to build trust, community and a true sense of belonging at GrubStreet.

Zoom Participation:
In our experience, the intimate nature of a writing workshop benefits from on-camera participation. Students are of course welcome to turn their camera off whenever they need to, but it is a community norm for cameras to be on most of the time. You can learn more about using Zoom here.
Zoom Accessibility:
You can enable closed captioning at any time during the meeting by clicking the CC button at the bottom of the screen. If you'd like to access the transcript after class, please make sure to let your instructor ahead of time that you'd like a copy.
