Event Description
This Zoom session will be an opportunity for BWOC members to build community and share resources, which can include essays or books on craft; submission tips and strategies; lists of publications; articles on writing or the publishing industry; genre-specific resources; professional development opportunities; fellowships and retreats; and much more! Grub instructor and BWOC member Asata Radcliffe will kick things off by sharing some of her own resources, then facilitate a group share-out for the remainder of the session. If you’re ready to expand your bag of resources and pass along what has worked for you or you’ve found useful as a writer, we can’t wait to see you!
Please make sure to register so that you receive the Zoom link in advance. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to [email protected].
This class will take place using Zoom videoconferencing. After registering, a yellow Resources tab will appear in this section containing a link to join class. Please note that you will need to be logged into view the Resources tab.
Zoom Participation:
In our experience, the intimate nature of a writing workshop benefits from on-camera participation. Students are of course welcome to turn their camera off whenever they need to, but it is a community norm for cameras to be on most of the time. You can learn more about using Zoom here.
Zoom Accessibility:
You can enable closed captioning at any time during the meeting by clicking the CC button at the bottom of the screen. If you'd like to access the transcript after class, please make sure to let your instructor ahead of time that you'd like a copy.
