#7: Come up with your ending before you figure out your middle. Seriously. Endings are hard, get yours working up front.

#10: Pull apart the stories you like. What you like in them is a part of you; you've got to recognize it before you can use it.

Shop at Amazon, Put a Bookstore Out of Business?

There's been lots of chatter about Amazon's new marketing ploy: For one day last weekend, they encouraged  customers to go into brick-and-mortar stores and use Amazon's price-checking app to see if they could get products for less on Amazon, and then offered them $5 credits on Amazon purchases.
