Class Description

This course is designed for nonfiction writers delving into the subject of caregiving for loved ones. This class will offer the opportunity to write about caregiving in many ways: caring for younger generations, older generations, or those who find themselves caring for both a younger and older generation, the “caregiver sandwich.” Caregiving offers an opportunity to craft a short work of nonfiction dedicated to revealing insights from this unique life perspective, which we will examine together through this workshop.

The writer's own experience will serve as the source and subject for the work generated and polished during the course. We will have the space and structure for you to explore your unique voice and perspective as well as gather tools for developing your writing further.

Overall, this course will include lessons on craft, in-class writing, and discussion. Beginning and established nonfiction writers welcome.
