Class Description
Having a well-crafted synopsis doesn’t just make for a stronger query letter. It can also provide the framework for how you talk about your book; it can clarify the most important elements of plot, stakes, and themes in your manuscript; and it can serve as the foundation for your eventual book jacket copy. In this hands-on seminar, you will have the opportunity to dissect the elements of a synopsis, learn tips and tricks to draft a compelling three-act structure, and generate your own draft in the process. There will be space for sharing, Q&A, and group discussion at the end.
NOTE: Kaitlyn is also offering a series of add-on services, which you can request using this form (alums must have registered to one of her seminars to request an add-on).

- Full submission critique (query, synopsis, and first 10 manuscript pages)
Thanks to the excellent literary citizenship of our donors, scholarships are available for all GrubStreet classes. To apply, click the gray "APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP" button. In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must complete your application at least one week before the start date of a class. Please await our scholarship committee's decision before registering for the class. We cannot hold spots in classes, so the sooner you apply, the better. Scholarships cannot be applied retroactively.
