Event Description
Join us for a moderated discussion of what it's like to be a writer with a day job in arts administration. GrubStreet's Director of Faculty & Fellowships, Eson Kim, will provide an everyday look into this field of work, and also cover key skills to cultivate and highlight in preparation for applying and interviewing for arts administration jobs. In conversation with BWOC member and Grub instructor Maria Picone, Eson will also candidly share some key considerations in choosing whether or not to pursue full-time arts administration careers while also balancing your creative aspirations. An audience Q&A will take place during the last 30 minutes of the session.

Zoom Participation:
In our experience, the intimate nature of a writing workshop benefits from on-camera participation. Students are of course welcome to turn their camera off whenever they need to, but it is a community norm for cameras to be on most of the time. You can learn more about using Zoom here.
Zoom Accessibility:
You can enable closed captioning at any time during the meeting by clicking the CC button at the bottom of the screen. If you'd like to access the transcript after class, please make sure to let your instructor ahead of time that you'd like a copy.
