Mothering: A Mini Writing Retreat

Apply for Scholarship
  • $85.00 Non-Member
  • $75.00 Member

Class Description

This is a short mini-retreat for mothering people of all walks of life and stages of parenting in these times. This will be both an affinity-space where you can share what challenges you're facing as a mothering person who writes, and a safe and empowering space to write to prompts, read and watch some poetry and other short writing about mothering and explore topics such as changes in our bodies, the labor and the joys of mothering. Expect to open and close with some grounding and freewriting to create a space away from the daily grind. Come as you are, with something you're working on, or just a pen and paper.

If you are interested in reading some of Aimee's poetry and articles published on motherhood, see below:

"My Queerness Helped me Understand Being a Better Mom" via PopSugar

"The Pandemic has Made Single Motherhood Even More Single" via PopSugar

"Night Waking" via Raising Mothers

"Fragments on motherhood in 9 parts" via Raising Mothers
