In a Nutshell

GrubStreet’s Writers’ Stage seats seventy-two people for literary events that range from author readings, award ceremonies, slam performances or story slams, panel discussions some of the most pressing topics of the day, and more. 

If you or your organization is interested in renting our stage and event space for your literary event, please complete this proposal form and our team will be in touch within three weeks after your submission. Note: completing this form is the first step in the process and does not guarantee use of the space. 

We are seeking stage users/renters whose event(s) align with our mission and who can manage their event(s) independently and simply, conducting their own setup and cleanup before and after the event. Read our FAQs to learn more.


What this form is not for: 

  • If you are an author or publicist looking to contact Porter Square Books about hosting an event, skip GrubStreet’s Event Proposal Form and go to the Porter Square Books website
  • If you are a member of the GrubStreet community whose debut book has been influenced by your time at GrubStreet and you would like to apply for us to host your event as part of our ongoing Grubbie Debut Author Readings Series, please fill out this brief application form.

After You Submit:

After you submit, we will review your request and be in touch via the email address you provide in the form. We typically respond within three weeks after the submission date.
