Class Description: Let’s face it, high school summer reading lists can be hit or miss. Sometimes it seems like they were written for our parents and not for us. So, this session will be run by young adults. Here is where we recommend books we love and build our own glorious summer reading list to share with the teen world.

Teen participants who feel comfortable sharing will use the chat and rotating mic to talk about books they love and why. Then after the session ends, we’ll compile a “Not Your School’s Summer Reading List” to post on the BPL and GrubStreet websites. We’ll also randomly draw names from attendees to give away various titles on that list, and one lucky attendee will win an entire box of books from the list.

For teens ages 12 to 19. Registrants will receive a Zoom link via email prior to the session start time. Presented in collaboration with the Roxbury, Mattapan, and Egleston Branches of the Boston Public Library.
