YA/MG Novel Workshop
The process of revising a novel is hard to do alone. This class is designed to help intermediate to experienced writers of young adult and middle grade and those that have taken the YA Novel In Progress class take their novel to the next level. Classes will be primarily focused on workshopping student work, with student and instructor feedback helping refine and deepen students’ stories while building tools to aid in the long process of novel revision. Classes may also include writing exercises, tackling craft challenges, and discussing published novel excerpts and stories, including work by such authors as: Shaun David Hutchinson, Jandy Nelson, Tomi Adeyemi, Hena Khan, Jacqueline Woodson, Elly Schwartz, and more. In addition to the class's comments, you will receive in-depth written feedback from the instructor. The goal is to revise up to 40 pages of your YA or MG novel.
Please note: Class does not meet July 5th.
