YA Novel in Progress
If you're working on a young adult novel, then this is the class for you! We will talk about what works and what doesn't in a YA novel, focusing on character, point of view, dialogue, and plot/conflict. Each week we will read your work out loud and critique pages in class. In addition we will look at examples of YA novels for inspiration. By the end of this class, students will have written and/or edited 100 pages of your novel and also created a working synopsis. A week prior to the first class, the instructor will request the first 20 pages of your novel via email.
Please note: Class will not be held on 10/8 (Columbus Day) or 11/12 (Veteran's Day Observation).
