Schedule

This class focuses on creating flash memoir and essay pieces under 1000 words, as represented by journals such as Brevity and The Sun, and is appropriate for writers at all levels. We'll discuss concision in personal writing, and look at examples of powerful flash memoir and essay. Students will complete several in-class writing exercises and share excerpts during class discussion. By the end of the seminar, you'll have a better understanding of these genres along with short works in progress.

Class Format

This class will take place using Zoom videoconferencing. About 15 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin, you'll receive an email from your instructor with a link to join the class meeting!

Scholarship Information
